Interesting, what do you think is a better pedal? For me this is going to be a light XC racer bike btw. Thanks
I get on well with various time pedals, paired with sidi shoes. Takes 18-24 months before the rock gets noticeable, new cleats fix it.

I have Giro Code VR70 and XT M8000 pedals. I ahve a ton of rocking and sloppy connection between my shoes/pedals. I do not recall if it was bad when the combo was new but after a coupe years of use I could go for a new set of cleats, and hopefully reduce the amount of rocking. It is a bit annoying when doing gravel rides but mtb/CX it is less noticeable, though still an annoyance

My sidi Drako and Shimano pedals xt 780/8000 and xtr 9000/9100 fit firmly and do not rock or wiggle. The giro's I had were rocking machines.

Drakos with atacs have no wiggle and feel almost like road pedals and shoes, shimano xc90 with atac have alittle rocking but I had giro empires before with atac and they had enough rocking to give me knee pain.

I have the same set up and ZERO rocking or wiggle.
