It appears that the Eagle AXS is only going to be available (initially at least) as a complete drivetrain setup. My wife would like to upgrade her Eagle mechanical to AXS, but all she needs to do that is RD and shifter, so I guess she won't be doing any upgrading until they start selling the components separately, whenever that happens to be.

Good luck. I ordered my full kit in March, and it is backordered until May 17. I highly doubt they are going to sell components whith full kits on backorder.

I would bet my money on that all those groups in the market were pre-production and they are now making the real production samples.

I'm interested in this as well - all I need is RD and shifter to replace the mechanical Eagle components.

Don't judge the shifter until you've given it a chance to break in a little, they have a weird crunchy feeling when new. Now it feels pretty much like 11-speed XTR.
