I’m rebuilding my Trek Superfly 9, 2015 small for next years XC racing season. I’ve decided to stick to an alloy frame, ordering a set of Sid World Cup forks. Not to sure to stick with a 1X11, or to go for a 1X12? As the cassette needs replacing anyway, chain and jockey wheels need changing as the drive train is all worn. All ready running carbon bars fitting a carbon seat post and a lighter seat, wheels will be upgraded. But will have to be XD compatible, running xr2 tubeless tyres. Any suggestions on lightweight build components, without braking the bank?

how much's the Sid?

I own the same frame and pretty much the only significant weight savings comes from using stepcast.

I run the fox 32 step cast and boy is it LIGHT AF

i’ve been offered the Sid World Cup 2017 for £299, so for that price I’ll be going for them. Not much difference between the Sid and the Fox in weight, not enough to justify the price difference. Have you upgraded any other parts on yours? How do you find yours on the trail?
