Bar/Stem Combo (Chinese)?

Has anyone used an integrated bar stem combo for mountain biking? The new Syncros stuff looks very light and stiff, but they are a bit expensive. So I was wondering if anyone had experience with that? Otherwise has anyone used any of the Chinese bar stem combos?

I rode a klein attitude with 1 piece bar/stem back in 92. it was very stiff, but then so was the rigid fork :)

while tempting...

My chinese bar experience from VeloBuild was a road drop bar. Cheap, looked impressive in pics, impressive out of the box...
Tightened the brake levers, first one, OK... second one... CRACK. Bar tossed in bin. :unbelievable: :roll:
