Does anyone know the headset spec for S-Works Epic? My frame is on its way and I'm collecting parts. Thanks.

They do come with a headset- I think it is an FSA.

Thanks. I kinda want to replace the original FSA headset with the new CK DropSet so it matches the hubs and bb. I guess the one came with the frame will tell me if the bottome bearing is 36 or 45-dgree.

King only comes in one size right now- So it is an easy try.
My recollection was that the top bearing on the Specialized was slightly differnet than some headsets that I have worked with.

Specialized typically use a "Campagnolo style" integrated headset for the upper assembly. I.e. IS42

IS41 is the more common standard. The bearings are not interchangeable. If you were to put in an IS41 bearing you would likely have preloading problems.

The headset that comes with the frame will work well. I would suggest looking at the bearings before ordering a King dropset, or reaching out to them to make sure you get the proper one.

socratease, thanks for warning. I pick up my frame over the weekend and measured the upper headset bearing just now. Indeed it's a 42mm. (41.8mm to be exact)
