I have a 73mm BSA threaded bottom bracket shell frame and I am trying to figure out what type of new crank/BB setup fits this. I am thinking that the that the 386 evo type may fit but I am not really sure and don't know where to start looking as I haven't upgraded in years. I have some nice, forget the brand, vintage-ish BB, square taper, that has less than stellar bearings in it now. Weight of crank arms, spider, bolts and BB is 600g currently, so I am looking to lighten it up a bit. I ride mainly singletrack so I don't need bomb proof stuff. Any info or thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks for the input.
Probably a waste of money then to bother with an upgrade. Is there a good source of "good" bearings anywhere? I replaced the bearings in fy fisher, press fit 1990's, about 20 yrs ago and they are still amazing bearings. The shop I got them from closed so I am not sure where they came from.
