Does anyone know if the recently announced Shimano 12-speed XTR cassettes will use the same spacing as the SRAM 12-speed? With 11-speed, you can mix and match with impunity - I have a couple of bikes using SRAM shifters/derailleurs and Shimano 11-speed cassettes.

I have measured them and they are not the same.
Unfortunately I cannot remember numbers on the top of my head.

numbers need some confirmation

12s shimano 3.55 mm
12s sram 3.65 mm

when cassettes aligned by first cog, mixing accuracy 0..+1mm
when cassettes aligned by middle cog, mixing accuracy -0.5..+0.5mm

That's a shame, it's always been good to know that they were the same, still it's probably choose enough to make it work?

You can test quality of "0.5mm offcenter shifting" on your current bike by adjusting cable tension or changing di2 setup by +-3 steps of microadjustment steps

Anyone know Campagnolo 12-speed cassette rear cog spacing (center-to-center)?

Interesting thanks. XTR 12 speed has not been released yet right?

So XTR Shifter + RD with Sram cassette seems not to work properly because of the indexing on the shifter.
But it works with an Sram Shifter. Who would have thought that? But why even use a XTR RD in this case?
I don't get this whole "mixing parts up" thing anyway.
If you still what to use your shitty xD driver anyway, why not stick with Sram? Only because of the cheap, but maybe light and not reliable, rearhub you've got in your chinese wheelset?

Shimano mech probably won't break as often as SRAM mechs.

Yeah, it does seem that Shimano RDs have a better reliability track record. I am pretty blown away by that second video though, as it implied that the cable pull ratio of the new XTR and Sram Eagle are the same, meaning a sort of return to cross-compatibility in one regard, even if we have lost cross compatibility with cassette spacing. That cassette incompatibility kind of sucks for anyone with a lot of wheelsets who might want to trade back and forth between bikes based on the tires/riding coditions, or if one wheel is waiting for repair and you want to keep the bike in service with a wheel swap.

Does anyone have cable pull ratio info yet? That cog spacing document was a sweet find, so something similar for the shift/derailleur system would be great.
