If it's not it looks like a new freehub interface.

Second that, how else would you fit a 10 tooth cog on the hub? As far as I'm aware, there are no 10 cog cassettes that fit on HG freehub bodies.
10t is big news. Maybe the Capreo freehub, they already have that.

36T front ring but I an abut to order a 40T from garbaruk for a rotor chainset for the bike. I live in east anglia in the U.K and ride the MTB in the U.K. A couple of years ago I rode the south downs way on a single speed with 61.5" gearing (36/17T on a 29x2.2" tyre) and I remember passing riders on climbs using a tiny ring and a huge dinner plate rear cog. If I ever do the South dowens way again it will be with gearing but 36-36T will be enough and easy in comparison. I dont recommend doing the south downs way ona single speed it was an utterly stupid thing to do.
32/52T is so low it would be quicker walking the bike, of course thats defeat, which is why i suppose these wide ratio cassettes exist.

So you would be able to race an Xco course on your 1x10 with s 36 rear?......... and still be competitive?

I think it'll probably be direct mount, it would be hard to see Shimano dropping the standard now that they have brought it to the road mechs. If you look at the length of the body of the mech it would appear to be similar to the length of the current mechs, just with a very offset top jockey wheel.
