Dt-240s hubs for a 29er

Hi all,
I'm here to get some valuable information that u all might have for me...
I'm currently using the American classic race 29 wheelset that weighs about 1443g total. Not exactly very WW for XC but for the price , I'm not complaining much.
I've got plans to get a spare wheelset , and my criteria is to have one that is not more than my AC's 1443g. I do have a pair of old DT-240s 32H centerlock hubs with me, do u all think that DT240 are capable of a less than 1443g finished wheelset ? If yes, which rims, spokes configurations am I looking at.
Any other information or advise is gladly appreciated.

Centre lock version is usually lighter on the hub side but may need slightly longer (heavier) spokes on the wheel total.

Take a look at these new rims from LB, with CX-Rays/Pillar 1420, alu nipples and assumed weight of 240s in 450g range you'd get a sub 1400 wheelset, maybe even 1350g. No idea about your budget, but 269USD per rim and "spare" wheelset don't seem to go well. Maybe this will become your main one As far as I know, nobody built up flyweights at WW yet.

Huh? 1614g with Crests, 240s and CX-Rays?
Most wheelbuilding calculators, like the DT Swiss one, would have you at ~1400g. Aerolites being a very close approximation for CX-Rays.

You are very right.... 269usd is too much for me as a spare wheel set.

I thought of Crest mk3 rims too. . . But I thought that crest mk3 with dt240s are in the range of 1500grams ++ .

You are right. The correct weight is 1416g.

The MKIII Crest has a small nipple drilling, we use the Squorx nipple from DT for a snug fit. Good rim for a decent price IMO.
