The Specialized dropper post that I am running is still great. I can only recommend it.

Hi marsbar, I'm thinking also to the XCP dropost for my F29 Carbon 1, you said that on your FSI you routed the internal cable just near BB and then outside through a little hole, do you know if this works also on F29 frames (sorry, I have the bike somewhere else for the moment and can't check exactly what are you saying) ?

I'm sorry, I don't know. But what you can do is check the manual (available in PDF on Cannondale website). It should show a picture of the frame, and it's features.
Correct, I've checked the F-Si owner manual and noticed the hole for the Di2 which I don't have on F29...Sucks...

A solution would be to use the route for the front derailleur (I'm on XX1), the question would be how to fix the cable housing without those blockers (I don't know how they are called) that would come from the dropper down to this hole for the derailleur...
You could use the top tube cable routing and drill out the cable end stop to make a seat tube guide.

This is what I did with a Thomson post on a Superfly SL. Routing the cable took some patience since you have to feed it reverse of the normal direction but it was doable.
anybody knows carbon dropper's price and reliability?
