The Prologo X8 Ti saddle on my Scalpel 29r broke on the weekend.
I'm looking for recommendations for a replacement for XC.
I like the width and length of the Prologo and found it really comfortable, a vast improvement on the Fizik Gobi (aka arse anvil). So a max width of 135mm and a length close to 280mm would be preferred, with a bit of padding. Would like to get under 200g.
Ideas?

Reasonably well priced for something that could get trashed fairly quickly

The Tioga Spider look alike's from China are light, get good reviews and cheap enough to offset and relaibility issues in terms of value.
Impoverished weight weenie wanna-be!

Agreed. I have 2 of them. Using them since some time in 2009.
I'm very keen on trying the new Tune Re4mer. Hoping the price is not too outrageous.
I also ride & like the Speedneedle. However, "reasonably priced" might be stretching the term a bit.
The resonably price is a incognita. cause i spend 160 eur on a SLR carbonio and it takes 4 rides to brake the shape. I changed for Speedneedle and my oldest SN still running yet!
I tried the Kom Vorr, Ritchey WCS, Spz Phenom and always back for Tune SN.

Well the Silverado Carbon is even more of an anvil than my Specialized Romin carbon.
It's tolerable (just) with NZO trail baggies over the roadie bibs, but if it's hot like last weekend (33C) and I'm riding with just bibs and jersey ... well I could barely sit down after the 3 hour mark.
So the Silverado is going.
Are you guys seriously saying the Speedneedle is comfortable? 3hr+ rides with just bibknicks?

I've persevered for awhile. Someone on another forum suggested they get better as they break in. Hasn't happened.
