I'm planning to buy a racing wheelset and found a good price on a wheelset with stan's podium mmx, dt aerolite and dt hubs. With dt 190 hubs they are 649€ and with the 180 799€.

Is there any big differences between the 180 and the 190. Should I go with the 190 or is the 180 worth 150€ extra?

Its not worth the difference, the 180s are just an updated version.

Go for 240s!

I've got a pair of 190s and a pair of 240s. You have the "bling" factor but 240s are the same design and performance but half the price.

Cheers

The difference in price between the 240s and the 190 is only 50€ and the 240s are ~100g heavier...

190's are even lighter than the 180's.

Dont go with the 180. It is the exact same as the 240 except for ceramics (which help with that placebo speed) and the carbon hubshell which only ends up saving you 8 or so grams.
I would say go with a 240. It is much more reasonably priced (all though I still think a bit expensive for what you get).

Can't beat the whizzing sound of a 190!

180s
Frong hub 107g (277.50 €)
Rear hub 207g (522,50 €)
Subtotal 314g
CL adapter 26g x 2 (included)
Total: 366g (800 €)

240s
Front hub 145g (175,50 €)
Rear hub 244g (237,50 €)
Subtotal 389g
12 titanium bolts 15g (25 €)
Total 404g (483 €)

800 € - 483 € = +317 €
366g - 404g = -38g

The 180's are great but factoring in the CL adaptor as mentioned the difference is small. I went 180 for a dry wheelset and 240 for a wet weather wheelset - both have been faultless

Yes, i know XX1-cranks are carbon (wrote about that in my last post). Just tried to list possible solutions/idéas with the Stages X9 left crank. I got the wild or stupid idéa to run a X9-crank on the left from Stages with the XX1-crank + spindle on the right. Will not look very nice though...

First, wrong topic.

Second, how could you have written about that in your last post if this was your first one?
