Re: 2018 PRO thread

if I were SKY tactician, I'd order to go full USPS on them today, setting as deadly pace as possible to see what's what. who knows, it might turn out - suprisingly - there is no competition for both Froome and Thomas in high mountains, so they can make some time gain today and take the rest of the ...

Re: 2018 PRO thread

Lance made the money for the industry as well and how it went.

No trolling, it just reminded me that "one time you're up, then you're down"

Re: Weightweenies website update, Febuary 2018

It's the Control key on your keyboard, or STRG is the same key if you had Mac keyboard, I think. Press simultaneously Control with F5 to reload the site in your webbrowser.

Edit: Late and even wrong about the STRG :)

This got me hyped. Because I built SystemSix last year, I am intrigued what it will be :)

Re: Short headtube with slammed stem routing advice needed

I also prefer to cross the cables, even without internal routing. It looks to me cleaner to have one nice bend of the cable from the handlebars to the downtube, rather than "S" bend. Disadvantage is that it rattles bit more :(

Re: SystemSix carbon fork with starnut

@Nixster, thanks for your input. As written in my previous post, I keep riding it as it is, because it is within the original Cannondale specifications. I ride the bike mostly on the flats, but I push hard on it. No problem till now.

I thought it was some Movistar rider, but quick Google search shows Mollema too:

Re: 2017 'PRO' cycling discussion.

Probably at 11.9 km to go when I rewatched the footage now, Alaphilipe's attack came later at 11km to go. Matthews may have been pulling also then but it was not shown. By asking about it, I don't mean he did not do it. I was watching it live and just didn't remember seeing him (or heard the comment...

Re: 2017 'PRO' cycling discussion.

Can anyone point out the moments of Matthews chasing attacks? I presume he was talking about attacks in the last kms. But when watching the helicopter view of the last kms, I see other riders (incl. Sagan at some point) doing it, not him.

Re: Cervelo Soloist Carbon

After finding and completing my SystemSix, this one is another on my radar from the same era (2008). Yours is beautiful.
But, wouldn't the build be more accurate with a Zipp wheelset?

Re: Show us your Dales

I was lucky to find it locally in very good condition, without major scratches or dents on the frame.

Only the fork bugged me (topic: SystemSix carbon fork with starnut), but I still ride it like that.

Re: Show us your Dales

I have finally found occasion for a photo of my SystemSix, thanks @PinaRene for the matching wheelset. It's red/black SystemSix '07 (?) with 7800 groupset, non-matching 54/42 Chorus crankset Deda Superzero cockpit, Deda Superleggera RS seatpost, Romin Evo Pro saddle, and old Shimano 105 PD-5610 peda...

Re: 2017 'PRO' cycling discussion.

I would not be surprised if the tactics was about having team leader clean (at least, as much clean as possible) and domestics juiced (simply said). If domestics were caught later, that would be no problem for leader and his title.

Re: Deda RHM vs Shallow for Campagnolo

Without thinking about it, you just move your thumb up and over it On the old Sora 3400 levers, the thumb shifter is much further away, almost on the top of the hoods. And I was still able to reach it from the drops. Although people with shorter hands may have had problems with that. But the thumb s...

And so they made the gap from Froome even though he had 4 teammates with him. That was interesting to see.
