Re: Rumors Next Generation Campagnolo Road?

Oh that's it! I'm just not a good enough mechanic! "Real" mechanics are skilled enough do the extra little bit of work that finely crafted products like Campganolo need. What horseshit. It's badly made and not worth the money. I've gone from EPS to mechanical 105 and it feels like an upgrade. I try...

Re: When did you last crash?

Certainly in group riding you need to assess the capability of the people in front of you, there's a few people I ride with occasionally that I leave more of a gap to.

Re: BMC SLR01 Gen 1 vs 2 Differences

I've got a SLR01 frame which I guess is the 2012 design. It does have external routing for the rear brake which even over a decade ago I was a little surprised by. Anyway, tyre clearance: 25mm is fine, 28mm is not.

Re: When did you last crash?

Thanks for the responses, interesting. I see it's a subject people are reticent about, understandable I suppose. It's been a while since I've had a road off but, as noted, gravel is a whole different game. Last summer on a little-used green lane a rut tossed me into a hedgerow full of nettles and br...

When did you last crash?

Prompted by what seemed to me to be a startling remark in another topic, and of course it is a sensitive subject that we probably skirt around with our loved ones, but I am curious: when did you last crash and what happened? I'm thinking specifically of road cycling, and of purely cycling crashes th...

Re: 2023 On The Road Today

Reliability rides remain popular here in the UK. This is my club's one, 106km/1000m in the Chiltern Hills last Sunday.

Re: 2024 Pro thread

How the hell does a group of 30 or so riders, with multiple options from a few teams, not pull back two guys for 15 seconds over 10km or whatever? I thought that was pretty lame.

Re: Rumors Next Generation Campagnolo Road?

I guess I am in the minority then. Been on Campagnolo for a long time, eps, etc and been on WRL since June. I ride a lot. I miss the thumb shifter - a lot. I thought I read somewhere, or imagined, that the rationale for ditching the thumb shifter is that it's offputting to the majority of people wh...

Regarding Garmin data overlay, I notice that the new insta360 Ace action camera can export footage with Garmin data overlay via the insta360 app.

Re: 1x Campagnolo Ekar drivetrain

It's good to see a campagnolo offering for almost the mass market. There are some changes still to be understood: a new clutch, possibly a lower profile lever?

Re: Campagnolo EPS (wired) restored to factory website

Dutch CXer Ryan Kamp has been using WRL on his cross bikes in recent races. That should be a fairly severe test for it.

Those Ekoi pedals, that does look like a comfortable pedalling platform. Not obvious how clip in and clip out works though.
