Re: 2013 Weight Weenie Kit (It's Actually Going to Happen!)
re: the pricing, it doesn't look so bad if we hit 13-30 order volume, which would seem to be likely, no? Like anyone else, if given a choice I'd rather pay less than more, but since I generally use/ride/wear my equipment for its entire useable life, I'd rather spend a little more if the resulting k...

Re: 2013 Weight Weenie Kit (It's Actually Going to Happen!)
I'm sorry, am I looking at $125.00 for the jersey AND 149.00$ for the bibs?
Even if there are more than 30 people buying it, it still looks expensive, no?

Re: Buildin a new wheel - help with spoke lenght
Owen, after I factored all the costs I decided to buy a complete wheel instead of building one myself so I can't help you with that. Anyway, based on the amount of sites that recommend the use of WheelProUK I, personally, would not have any problems in ordering the spoke lengths that it would recomm...

Re: "PRO" Cycling Discussion
Yesterday I was riding up a climb in Santa Barbara with a friend. We came across an older guy with no helmet riding with a small child that was on a Scott road bike killing it up this climb (maybe 5 or 6 years old). The man had a thick accent (French or Belgian). Upon closer inspection he was on th...

Re: Xiamen Far Sports Experiences
Maybe you should take the wheel to your LBS to be trued?
The spokes should remain flat, its the nipple that rotates, AFAIK.

Re: Xiamen Far Sports Experiences
I haven't done the 1500km on the 50mm tubular but today I had a magnificent ride http://app.strava.com/activities/56223235 to test the wheels. Very hard climbing: one 9.4km @ 8.5% and one 12.3 @ 6.3% in witch the final 4km never go bellow double digits of %, and one very tricky descent with LOTS of ...

Yesterday Gesink snapped chain near the finish. Today Betancur got a mechanical 1.5k to go. It seems stuff just really love to go wrong this Giro huh? Gesink didn't snapped his chain, it actually jumped off his chainring when he hit the cobbles. In 2013 I started to think if the groupsets are actua...

Re: Light but strong quick release skewers
Im glad to see the planet x skewers work well, I just got them in the mail, havent used them yet. They were the lightest for the money that were in the US . Unfortunately, for me, they always made some creek when I pedaled out of the saddle no matter how much force I put in while clamping them They...

Re: Xiamen Far Sports Experiences
Got the 50mm tubular wheels today. Very nice package, good looks and they came at 490g + 641g = 1131g so 29g underweight (1160g expected)! They came with some 45g titanium skewers and their own pads (look very like Reynolds Blue). Plus, at my request, kyle also offered one spoke of each length used....
