Not that I like to read about your mishaps, but I really like your calmness in your writing when describing them.
Looking forward to seeing C64 building process.

Re: Good looking -12 stem options

Enve aero is a great stem, but not necessary for weight conscious approach. However it is available in -12 and 130mm.

Someone reading this thread could wrongly take impression that the subject of it must be more complicated than it really is :)

Re: which Bluetooth HRM for zwifting ?

I don't know Garmin's current straps, but if their HR units have the same level of longevity and reliability as they used to have, its better to go for Wahoo. On the other hand these are relatively inexpensive items, so no much harm done choosing either Wahoo or Garmin.

Re: Corima Wheels in UK

??? there isn't...just UK VAT but you buy net on EU. Just ordered sth in UK so I think I know.... Custom only on items such as alcochol, cigarettes (excise duty) and the seller would include any duty in the goods price as the seller is responsible for paying it. Taking out of the context any exempt...

Re: Best way to size chain with larger pulley wheels

It is more down to how to use the tool and the skills of the person. I don't remember how many times I cut carbon seatposts, bars or steerer tubes, still using toothed saw blade, fine one.
If anyone has any doubts when approaching cutting steerer tube, I'd probably leave it to someone else.

Re: Best way to size chain with larger pulley wheels

I don't see why it needs to be any more complicated than normal. Fundamentally you're still sizing the chain to be safe in the most stretched configuration, and at that point the difference in going through a normal or oversized pulley cage is going to be minimal anyway, right? That would be my tak...

Re: Aethos Sub6kg in " a-not-dwarf-size" 58 cm

58 size and 641g for disc brake frame, it is really impressive by all means. Nice choice of components. Ther is still movement in bringing the weight down, how much it will only depend on you. Expander set, you can half it with Extralite expander and top cup. Based on what you mentioned pedals are o...

Re: Derailleur jockey wheel recommendation

If aesthetics is of any concern, I'd stay away from aluminium wheels. They look good when out of the box, later on their blink fades away with anode being eaten by the chain. And as mentioned above, they are louder tnan wheels made of delrin, for instance. On J&L subject, I've been using their ospw ...
