Re: C60 Replacement Coming?

The new bb. Another standard?! Really?!! I might just wait until a manufacturer tells us that square wheels are the new round wheels & I'll know it's true because I read it in a magazine. No, the BB is nothing new in how it actually works from an end user installation perspective... just simplified...

Re: C60 Replacement Coming?

Riding my C-59 which is now two generations behind. I'm starting to feel on the bike the way i feel on my 2006 bmw As long as you don't look at the newer C60/ C64 or BMW and don't drive them you won't see or feel any differences.... One of main rule in Marketing is "helping the consumer t...

https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1582/24449529664_936635b8fd_b.jpg What? These things have a battery? I would never have known because you forget as the years go by without having to replace it. Let's see... 1900hours, say an average 15mph... so... 28,500miles. Hmmm... 28,500/7 years= over 4,000 mile...

Re: Campagnolo front derr cages.....

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. Well, once but once was enough. As Cal pointed out earlier, quickstep used chorus front mechs as they were stiffer so that's what I did too and they don't break. Carbonis not a material for use everywhere. Solution: bin the sr mech. Get a chorus one. Swap the ...

Re: C60 Replacement Coming?

Yes, I agree with the sentiment on the tyre clearance but that really is my only gripe but like you I get on with 23mm tubs just fine. Oddly, my latest addition is a pair of FMB service course tubs in 22.5mm but they actually came out at 24mm. God's own tubs fit fine & roll really sweetly.

Re: C60 Replacement Coming?

All this talk of a new addition to the C-series family has got me thinking. Never mind what we all think is going to be featured on the new frame, but rather what would you like to be featured on it? Each of the C Series has been an incremental improvement over the last model rather than being a gro...

I still prefer 23mm tubs over 25mm.

Re: Campagnolo Movement......Thoughts?

and who can forget about the Ultra-torque crank-set! It's by far, the most durable and easy to maintain BB/crank-set combination in the market! While you might be right that bearings last longer than Shimano HT2 (although this is not my experience and there is no reason why they should) tools to re...

Re: Campagnolo Movement......Thoughts?

I think I'm right in saying that Campag were first with carbon chainsets & carbon brake levers. I the past they've supplied wheels to Lamborghini & parts to NASA. Campag, Shimano & SRAM all innovate at some level. Even Rotor have their hydraulic group! I don't think we are likely to see ...

Re: Questions on Campagnolo EPS

I've been using campag chains with KMC quick links since they have been on the market with zero issues. I was sceptical at first (it's a SRAM idea for starters), but my worries were unfounded.

Re: Does anyone have turn by turn directions of Paris-Roubaix?

The signage placed on lampposts etc will surely be gone but what will always remain are the painted directions on the road surface itself! Look out for yellow 'PR' with a directional arrow painted on the road.

Re: C59 v C60?

Having owned & ridden a master, a C50 & a C59 I thought I'd hanker after a C60 but I can honestly say that I don't. I'm not sure what I'd gain but I do know what'd I'd lose: threaded bb, sensibly oversized tubes, classic looks rather than 'me too' massive tubes. I might change my mind if I r...

Sorry, had to.

And you wonder why people all over the world get fed up with the US lording it over everyone else... Not saying the US deserves what it has experienced at the hands of those clad in robes of late but it certainly explains it.

Re: Campag 11 (pre 2015 vintage) noisy on gebhart chainrings.

Well, next thing I tried was a swap of chain rings. I swapped over the 46t stronglight ring from my work bike & it's like night & day. Memo to self: buy stronglight, not gebhardt. Pity, as it looked like a really nice ring.
