--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Heres my corrected version of you list, with a few extras. I have a few more wheelsets to add, but I cant find the weights at the moment.

(actual)- I actually weighed them

1. American Classic Magnesium 1200g (To be released in Jan)
2. Rolf Prima Elan 1314g (actual)
3. American Classic 350 1320g (standard build)
4. Campagnolo Ultra Hyperon 1350g
5. Extra lite ExtraClimb 1360g
6. Nimble Fly 1367g
7. Velomax Victoria 1370g (145lb recomended weight limit, to be released in Jan)
8. Wheel Craft Sprint DS 1370g ( Actual)
9. Ritchey WCS Protocal 1390g (to be released in Jan)
10. Campagnolo Hyperon 1395g
11. Nimble Spider 1400g
12. FSA (don't know model) 1400g (to be released in Jan)
13. Topolino 1413g (actual)
14. Velomax Ascent II 1423g (actual)
15. American Classic 420 1425g (standard build)
16. Rolf Prima Vigor 1467g (actual)
17. X-Lab Aero 1475g
18. Velomax Orion II 1477g
19. Extra Lite ExtraRoad 1480g
20. Reynolds Stratus Clincher 1490g (to be released in Jan)
21. Velomax Tempest II 1500g
22. Bontrager X-Lite 1520g
23. Tune Standard Lightweight 1530g
24. Spinergy Xaero Lite 1540g
25. Campagnolo Neutron 1550g
26. Spinergy Tilium Carbon 1557g (actual)
27. Mavic Ksyirum SSC SL TDF 1560g (actual)
28. Zipp 303 1575g
29. Dura Ace 7800 1579g
30. Mavic Ksyrium SSC SL 1590g (actual)
31. Spinergy Carbon SS 1599g

Note: I didn't include the new FSA carbon clinchers due to a possible discrepency. They have a claimed weight of 1200g, but a source at interbike informed me that they seem to be well above that number. Will leave them out until I actually weigh a set.

Obviously clinchers are my specialty

out of italian magazine "CICLISMO" where they did a whole test on these nice wheels.

Spada Stiletto 04
front wheel: 474g (24 spokes)
rear wheel: 606g (28 spokes)

that's 1080g for the pair!!

Dude, there is no way with todays technology and manufacturing techniques to make 1080g clincher wheelset. They have a hard enough time making tubulars that light. Post some pics of your magic wheels on here so we can see them.

Besides, they have an advertised weight of 1268g, someone else even posted that. Check them again, they must be tubulars.

hey, believe me i can tell the difference! I'm also quite a weight-weenie myself and my italian is good enough to understand what the article says:

...Corrado Spada managed to shave 212g out of the previous version of the Stiletto wheels which weighed 1292g...

as posted above: 1080g!

sorry- i don't know how to post pics here that's why i gave my e-mail in that other reply.

you could also contact mr. Spada on your own.i i contacted him last year because i was interested in his seatposts (138g)...here's his e-mail:
corradospada@tiscali.it

It's true, the wheels Nino quotes are clinchers. I have the article as well. They are not yet in production though.

I didn't list them as I have no weighed them, although I guess the magazine weights should be sufficient.

Maybe we should tell Spada to get American Classics to remover their untrue claim

How an this be!? What are the rims made of? They would have to be under 300g, and the hubs very light as well. Is there a weight limit? Please post some pics, 1080g for a clincher wheelset is CRAZY!!!

thanks Nikh...seems he has no idea who i am.

I couldn't believe that weight myself.I thought i have pretty light clinchers with my custom-made CR350 (FRM hubs,DT Revs...1302g).not so. those Spada wheels are ridiculously light and use strange spokes too:
2.0-1.2-2.0mm

never heard of such a butted spoke.and 24 only in the front...seems for light riders only.
