I built this bike with the intention of building a very stiff race bike and weight was secondary although I really feel I accomplished both in this build. Titus did an awesome job re-enforcing the headtube area and the thickness of the bottom bracket shell was massive. I left a little wiggle room to ultimately drop some more weight although the only real options are a different rear tire, adding a titanium baseplate to the fork, adding a THM Scapula SP tuned fork and that is all I could come up with. With the exception of the AX Lightness carbon stem when it comes out and hopefully it will come in oversized!

Fork: 2005 Easton EC-90SLX
Headset: Chris King 1” 1/8 Mango headset
Headset Spacers: 15mm carbon
Stem: Ritchey 4-Axis tuned
Computer: Polar CS100.
Handlebar: Zipp SL
Handlebar Tape: Deda Black Cork
Handlebar plugs: Deda fake carbon.
Cables: Nokon Housing with Power Cordz liner and cables
Saddle: AX Lightness Sprint
Seatpost: AX Lightness Daedelus
Seatpost clamp: M2 Racer.
Skewers: M2Racer
Front Derailleur: 2006 Campagnolo Record tuned.
Rear Derailleur: 2005 Campagnolo Record 10 tuned
Shift & Brake Levers: 2006 Campagnolo Record 10 Ultra with BTP carbon clamps
Crank Set: THM Clavicula’s 175mm
Cassette: KCNC Alloy, scandium and titanium 11-23
Chain: KMC X10SL
Brakes: Zero Gravity
Wheelset: American Classic 38mm tubular
Tires: Front = Vittoria Evo Crono CS Rear = Continental Sprinter
Bottle: Cages: BTP 9 gram cages
Pedals: M2Racer Orb II

Now I just need to complete the shakedown ride.

sweet build juan! the gold headset sticks out though in terms of color. perhaps u could add gold elsewhere.

very classy build, i like it!
2 things missing for my taste, classic bars(not only because of the bend, but the bars seem to dominant in the sideview pics), and pedals(although i've never tried them, i can't imagine that these can be as good as e.g. speedplay(light) or dura ace(reliable)...
keep the gold chris king, maybe think about gold tune skewers, skyline time trial for example :twisted:

i think tune gold skewers would match perfectly. i would go with the quick release and not the time trial version though. the quick release is much more durable. the tt version uses aluminum axles. the tune quick release uses ti axles. weight if i recall correctly is about 59 grams.

i used to use speedplay all the time , but since getting the orbs i much prefer them plus they are a lot lighter

Shouldnt the seatpost collar go the other way since the relief slot appears to be on the front of the seat tube???

Probably not a big deal, but I would have to agree. It would guarantee a more even pressure at the gap in frame.

It's certainly looking good Juan.

The stem that you mentioned, just recently got a name, it will be called the Zeus. Gaining a name is an important step, it means that it will be going into production(they were previously undecided on that)

No announcement yet on if it will be OS. However the weights will start at an incredible 67grams... :shock: I wonder if were starting to push the safety limit with that.

As well, one of the items they currently produce will be getting an even newer higher end version. Of course that's going to mean another price increase on what is already their most expensive piece.
