Hi all.

I will be spending the month of August in London, and more specifically in Kingston-Teddington, down the road from Sigma Sport.

I'd love to do some nice morning rides starting from that area. Anyone knows of clubs that have weekly rides? Or if anyone lives in the area can offer some guidance?
I've already cycled once in Richmond Park, but it gets a bit boring after a while.

Thanks a lot! :beerchug:

Hi

Check out Kingston Wheelers http://www.kingstonwheelers.co.uk/ They have weekend rides at various levels heading out south west from that area.

Doesnt compare to the hills you have heading out of Beirut, but at least you'll easily be able to deal with the London traffic!

Thanks a lot cookiemonster - will look it out.
How do you know about our hills? :) They're indeed rather challenging!

I've a couple of friends from Beirut. A few years back we cycled a circle from Beirut up the coast into Syria, swung right and headed east till Palmyra, then south to Damascus and then back over to Beirut. It was a fantastic trip! I've been back a couple of times and we've just done one or two days out from Beirut - up to Beit al dine and the like.

Great place, great people and fantastic cycling. Except for the roads - got to watch out for the open drains across the roads when you're descending :)

There is usually a long-ish unofficial ride into the Surrey Hills that starts from outside Sigma at 0930 on a Sunday morning. Otherwise do laps of Richmond Park :)

Surrey hills, head out to Dorking/Reigate way. Give Box Hill a blast, nothing special, but it was the "focal point" of the Olympic road race (and some fast Strava times!).

You need to do Box Hill during the week. At the weekend it's one massive Mamil traffic jam. :unbelievable:
