received my powercordz swift cables today.
full 3m length with liner and bags came to 85g so should save me around 150g over standard campagnolo cables.
FD clamp weighs in at 6g.
looking forward to building up this new bike. hoping to get under 6.5kg

apologies for the poor quality picture I will take some pictures later tonight when it's finished.
need to chop down steerer and seat mast slightly and also gear cables and bar tape.
also require some bb30 spacers so will be finished tonight.
currently fitted with Athena 11 shifters until I get my Super record fixed.
I am also pleasantly surprised at the weight of the compression bung (27g)
upgrade in future will be a new isp topper and ritchey 4axis -17 degree stem
With training/ climbing wheels
With race wheels front end with Powercordz swift cables
so I've been away racing and not had time to be on here.
two races and two top 10 finishes so far on this.
finally got round to taking pictures.
Unfortunately until this weekend I cannot give you a weight of the bike as a whole.
frame is very responsive and stiff, handles very well even with the 14cm stem.
not sure on frame weight. I cut 5cm seatpost from original which weighed 16g
cut fork weighed in at 369g

YES YES YES YES Brearley
THAT is how you set a race bike.
Perfect balance, perfect amount of seatdrop, shallow bars, damn you got taste.
With this, you can pretty much put whatever frame, it will look RIGHT

+1
so the official weights
with planet x 20mm carbons, sram garmin mount + garmin edge 500 = exactly 6.8kg
with hed stinger 60mm carbons, sram mount + edge 500 = 7.02kg
obviously if i were to put the tubs and cassette from the 60s and also changed to a lighter stem (current is around 180g) the overall weight would be somewhere around 6.5kg
currently the planet x wheels are my training wheels so I have to use the conti gatorskin tubs.
future updates coming soon will be. praxis or stronglight ct2 53t chainring (the osymetric is too flexy for crits i feel)
ritchey wcs 4 axis 130mm -17 degree stem.
I have a pair of fulcrum racing ones as training wheels however until I can afford to buy some veloflex master tyres and another chorus cassette i'm stuck with the planet x wheels.

so guys i'm looking to bring the weight of this down. still not tracked down any praxis or stronglight ct2 53 rings cheap?
I've ordered a ritchey wcs 4 axis stem which should knock somewhere in the region of 40-50g off the weight of the bike.
I think a stronglight ring or praxis would knock 50g off.
I did buy a knock off parlee carbon fd clamp however it is quite flexy, has a shiny surface so any pressure on the front derailleur and it slides?
I'd like to get the weight around 6.5kg with the 60mm carbons in and maybe around 6.2kg with 20mm carbons in.
Obviously there is the limiting factor of the frame being relatively heavy I believe.
I've searched before but a different ISP doesn't seem an option as the weight difference is minimal for current options?
I may upgrade axles in my speedplay pedals but we shall see.
any other ideas are welcome

Hey brearley, I just received an FM029A today. This will be my first build. What headset did you put on your FM029 and how much prep work was needed to get the HS installed? Also, any issues with the internal cabling?
Thanks. I hope not to pester you too much, so I hope you don't mind these questions.

I don't mind any questions.
I used the headset which came with the frame. No prep needed really. Put the crown race on pushed down fully opening it up slightly with a screwdriver then put both bearings in. once the fork was cut and stem put on the headset could be tightened and since then i've never had any issue with it.
absolutely no issues with the internal cable routing, slid through nicely. Even with the kink you usually get due to the way Campagnolo cables come out the shifter it was fine. I have used powercordz swift cables which add another element to getting the gears to work fine but this isn't really an issue anyway.
I could do with cutting the isp maybe 2-5mm but so far off 5 outings the bike has had top 10s in 4 of those so i'm not too sure.
