Next time you pass, call out for them to make it more interesting than the last one...

@Dalai

Yes! That was the Eastern Sierra Double. The first picture was with the 'elite' group started off out of Bishop, doing a few misc miles for heading into the proper mountains, second picture is heading into the June Lake area. It was an easy/social day for myself and two friends, just a great training ride in gorgeous surroundings. I'll be up in the Sierras again in about 10 days, only further north. Stay tuned for some pictures of the mountain passes you'll be riding when you are out here later this Summer.

@TP

Where will you be headed? For racing, business or leisure?

Beautiful pics everyone, but esp. Makoy, that picture of the boy is great. And I'll have to ride in the Sierras one day.
Last weekend, 2 long days with lots of climbing. Near Leschaux, between Annecy and Aix:

Mt. Evans is only a short drive away. If you are heading to Colorado to ride I highly recommend doing this climb TP. Then you can say you rode up the highest paved road in America! There is a small public parking lot right off I-70 to park and the it is all uphill from there. Here is a map https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=20 ... 2,0.445976

Mount Evans sounds unreal. Will certainly see if it can be done.

Got a race which is supposed to be passing this bit of road at the weekend. Weeks of rain, snow melt and then a massive storm have pretty much destroyed all the roads in the Vallees des Gaves. Think everyone will have different priorities this weekend.

This is the road up the Tourmalet from Luz - good thing the Tour wasn't planning on passing although i don't know if the roads further east were similarly affected.

Phil's going to be shattered, he could have pulled out the "and he's tearing up the road" line to incredible effect.

This boy I came across later was making about as much noise as the bikes!
