I'm cheating a little as I'm having a few days off the bike and took this while out with the dog

As the Basin-Olinda rd is gravel for 5.5km of the 6km, I have avoided it all these years like many other local cyclists. But I'd seen some positive comments about the climb and surface being fine on road tyres recently so was intrigued. It was still wet and a little slippery especially in the lower half from the rain earlier last week but was fine on 23mm tyres. Wonderful little climb and extremely enjoyable to ride another local climb I hadn't been on before. Loved it that much I had to ride it again today!

Ok I might give it a go next time I'm up there.

I'd probably give it at least a week after any rain though Rush...

Just a short 36km cruise from home. A cool winter's day but hardly a breath of wind which is rare for Wellington....

Down behind those trees is a set for the next of the Hobbit movies. They were shooting today, but security is too tight to get a closer look...

Always a pleasure to see the photos here! I like them all!

I had to compensate yesterday, for that burger I had for dinner.. Some times convenience and hunger comes in the way of the healthy alternative and I just have to get something substantial in my stomach FAST :-)

Easy ride on the TT... hoping I will be able to ride fast under nationals next week.

Very cold in Melbourne's north this morning. Lots of fog. I was covered in condensation at some points and visibility was down to about 10 metres. At some point the condensation began to freeze on my body.

Thankfully on the way home the sun came out and I thawed out.

I apologize for the late uploads on this; processing day-to-day photographs is unfortunately a low priority/backburner for me at the moment. I will try to be better at it in the future.
