Not too keen on the blue and red together.

You complain about blue and red and you have white pedals ?

To be honest the blue and red wasn't intentional and won't last very long (when funds allow) they will be changed for black or red bits.

Not complaining, just pointing out that I personally wasn't keen on it.

The white pedals on mine match with the white in the paint, the saddle and the bar tape.

Deanh - No offence meant, just not to my taste.

None taken. 2nd cage ordered & wrapping the bars tonight.

No idea on expected weight, hopefully be sub 8kg.

Yeah I am not that keen on the red fork either. If the blue wasn't there you could work with the red color to spice up the bike. Best of luck with the build, I have this frame too and I ve done 14k knack without any issues.

She is finally finished. Bottom bracket turned up today so got it fitted and got the drivetrain finished off.

I dont have a finished weight for it yet but it is considerably lighter than the cube. Feels it on the quick ride around the block too.

They will be coming off. I want to get rid of the bmc branding on the forks but I don't know what to do other than repainting them. Borrowing some scales tomorrow so ill get her weighed.

I decided to sand the forks down to get rid of the bmc branding.

How they started out

Image

One leg done

Ran out of 200 grit paper so threw the forks back on until tomorrow.

Looks so much better already. Just need to finish the other leg, wet sand and lacquer.

Lacquered, ive left some red near the top on the inside as my fingers feel like they're about ready to fall off & you can't see it with the wheel on.

Could you give me a rundown on the gearing numbers-----crank and cassete-----a triple setup might make sense where I live.

Thanks
