Well there we go.... That wasn't so hard was it :)
I wasn't kicking off btw, you just confused me, and then compounded it further.

All you had to say from the outset was ' I think the LOOK logos may clash with the GIANT logos'.

Thank you.

I have a picture of the bike with bars attached, and I don't think it looks to bad tbh.
Image

We shall see when it arrives on Friday.
I haven't got time to be faffing around with it right now.
I fly to Germany tomorrow AM with work, back Thursday evening.

I collect all the bits on Friday and I have Saturday to build it, in order to ride a 112 mile sportive on Sunday.

Function over form right now :)

Oh, and what do you suggest to remove the LOOK logos?
White spirit?

I don't want to remove the gel coat/lacquer off the bar...

Well if you don't wanna remove the clear coat, there's not much you can do mate.
Bar tape up to the stem looks like the cheapest and easiest option short of changing bars...which are cheap enough...

I did say it. Whatever the case, the penny seems to have dropped.

And, genuinely, I'm not a fan. Not just because of the 'LOOK' but it's a very 'busy' bar. Your scheme is understated to a fair degree, so I think having that bar detracts from it.

Here are examples (in the Intro section ;) ) of what I think would serve as good inspiration

viewtopic.php?p=824131#p824131" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

(the latter one)

Bar, rub it back. Repaint. There are threads for that too ;)

Tomato, tomato...
Either way, their could have been a simpler response.

Back on topic now.
LOVE the look of the last one.
I'm going for a subtle/stealth approach.
Ordered some matt black Elite cages too.

Giant actually do some Carbon bars that are quite subtle so I may look at getting a set of those in the future.
After all, I have to leave something to do, right?

Some simple alloy Deda bars are only $30 from wiggle.

Nice. Sell the Look bars, cost neutral change over hopefully.

Some of my mates have found they can be a little flexy. But they are strong boys, big watts.

I had no issue with mine and the bend makes for a nice fit. I only got rid of them to go alloy (and narrower) for racing.

Look's will go straight for sale.

I've also got a defy advanced too with the contact alloy bars. 440mm

These are 400mm. Slightly less reach and drop.

Slightly concerned about the flex as I do like to do a bit of sprinting from time to time.

I'm 78kg and can put down a fair amount of power.....

I'm sure it'll be ok :s

So LOOK on pedals in combination with other brand bikes is much more accepted by the ww community than on stems, bars.
Seriously: Why?
I may have an answer but I really am interested in possible different opinions.
Thanks.

SO I have decided against the P2M for now.
Can't justify the extra £1k or so for what I'm using it for right now.

I'll upgrade in the future.

Build parts are all coming together and will make a start putting it all together tomorrow :)

Got the saddle, bars, pedals and bar tape sat waiting.
Grouppo should be delivered today and collect the frame and wheels this evening! :)
