Looking to upgrade my TT brake levers. Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the Sram 990 and 900 ones? Looking at their website, one weighs more, yet still costs more, but I don't really see a difference other than color.

If anyone has any suggestions for something else to consider, I'm all ears. I'm certainly more a fan of sram components and probably won't mix my build with shimano, but you never know. Magura is out of the question.

The 990 allows you to adjust the calipers by releasing the lever with a 2mm wrench and then spinning it for adjustment. Great if you've got integrated brakes and don't want to run an in-line adjuster, but if you have brakes with a release on the caliper, it's not really needed.

Thanks for the link. I've narrowed it down to either the 990 or the 3T levers. Gearing towards the 990, as the 3T fits over the carbon, not inside them. Thoughts?

I have both the TT900 and the 990.
The differences are:

TT900: 3k weave
TT990: Unidirectional weave and you can rotate the entire lever to adjust brake cable. So if your bike has some kind of weird brakes that can not be adjusted, and you don't use inline adjusters, then the TT990 can help you.
