Lightest MTB Shoes
Moderator: Moderator Team
Hi all,
I have used the search and google to try and find the lightest mtb shoes. Every post seems to be two to three years old that comes up when I search. I wear a 46 in Shimano M315's and they weigh about 460 grams per shoe. My bontragers are at 455 grams per shoe. I purchased the PI octane 2 sl's and they came in at about 475 grams.
Is there anything out there with a substantial weight savings? Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks!

How do you like those shoes? They are expensive, but they look like they are cheap quality...
Have you seen a pair of custom shoes? Do you actually have any idea what you're talking about?

I do.. more than you. I asked a question. If you dont like it dont answer! You understand that?
No need to quote the post before you.
I asked because most people have barely seen a pair close up.
The R7 logo stitching looks really dated, but other than that they look like about half a dozen other custom shoes. So not sure why you think they're cheap.
Using this pic as an example - If those were my shoes, I may be a little sad to see some of the glue from bonding the MTB tread to the carbon sole but this is hardly any different than many stock shoes.
