Looks like the perfect dry weather tire. Race day only though, even the RaceGuard version probably not as tough as the Racing Ralph.

Hopefully they do a 2.25 version soon too. Schwalbe usually wait a year before rolling out more sizes on new treads.

What is this 'dry weather' of which you speak? :-o

I wonder if they'll make a tubular version, to go with the Ralph HT.

Reminds me of the Panaracer Driver Pro a bit. Great to have a growing selection of fast tyres for 650b.

I would call that a semislick. My racing ralph last about 1000Km, this must be half of that. Definitely a race and dentist tire.

There's no way I'm putting something that spells 'thunder burt' in 4 places on my bike.

Which version are these on the scale?

Onza Canis is another very similar tyre which I quite like on the rear

Nope! Onza Canis has a much more coarse thread.

Onza Canis is 120TPI and Schwalbe 127TPI. I don't think you will notice the differences in 7 threads per inch! I feel the Onza casing is far more supple than my Racing Ralph casing, almost like having a puncture for the same tyre pressure!

If you mean "tread" then the Canis XC is actually very similar. Maybe fewer knobs but in the real world very little practical difference.
