Liggero is weight-doping!!! Haha! Weighing the shoes w/o insoles......oldest trick in the book. No better than LA.

yes, mtb. No cars, tress, dirt, stones, not killed by a car... You know, the good cycling. In Spain I do only mtb, in holland I do only road.

Sidi insoles are brand new, and brand new they will stay, cause they are such a crap that i will never use them. I will use Specialized BG blue insoles, that is why I weight the shoes without insoles, cause I will never use those, so I will never weight them as i will never wear them.

are mavic road shoes worthy? how do they fit compared to sidi? I ordered a two pairsof mavic mtb chasm shoes, in two sizes, just to make sure. I tried them for a few hours, and then returned them. Fit and finish and overall design was way worse than sidi in mtb. And sidi in mtb is not as good as sidi in road. The mavic mtb sole was great, much better than sidi, that i must admit it. But was the only thing. pity, as mavic were cheaper...

Actually this sidi tecno buckle closure must be one of the biggest gimmicks in cycling tech. don't get me wrong, it works flawlessly, but it's too strong, and unnecessary. A terrenal velcro is way better. the heel retention system is no gimmick, it's truly awesome.

I'd rather wear a 2Kg shoes, but save the embarrasment of wearing a Specialized product. There is just one thing in the world worst than specialized products: Trek.

If you want good road shoes, get a pair of Bonts.

But you use Spec insoles. How that is possible and not embarrassing? It´s because Spec knows what they are doing.
