Recommend me brakepads for Enve 25s

Non-Enve pads delaminates the brake track. It is fairly easy to tell if a customer has not been using the proper pads.

The Enve pads are fantastic, I don't see why you would use others.

Better stopping power and relatively better in the wet on Sram Red MY13 levers and calipers.

I wonder how they would deal with mine? I purchased my enve rims before enve started using their own pads. Once they announced the came out I contacted them and they sent me a set (at no charge), but the marks were already on the rims. I haven't had an issue, but if I did I wonder how that would be handled.

If you were using the pads they recommended at the time I can't see how they could justify not honoring the warranty.

Reynolds did the same thing- when I bought my rims they recommended SwissStop yellows and Kook-Stop carbon (which were utter garbage, chunking after an hour's use). They they developed their own and changed their recommendation to those.

BTW my friend the Trek dealer regularly sees Bontrager carbon rims ruined by the wrong pads, usually the Yellows, because someone on the internets recommended them. Bontrager doesn't warranty those.

I'm constantly amazed by people who spend $2500 on wheels and then will follow some random advice on the internet rather than trying what's been tested by the rim maker.

Agreed. I can't believe how nicely my SES 6.7 wheels brake with the Enve pads. I have no reason to venture to another type of pad.

I am thinking perhaps the OPs brakes are to blame for one reason or another.

If that's true it sounds like a big black mark for Enve.

I'm a big fan of Bontrager cork pads on all my carbon rims... various brands.

wingguy- so Enve should test their rims with every single pad out there and reformulate the rims until they work correctly with every pad (assuming this is possible and I don't think it is)? Even if someone comes up with pads that are utter garbage? Nearly all carbon rim makers recommend specific pads, often their own.

xnavalav8r- the Bontrager cork pads work well on Bontrager rims. But some other rim makers specifically instruct their users to not use cork based pads.
