Pic 1 and 3 are made with 50mm 1,2@1,2, Pic 2 with 85mm 1,8@1,8

Unless he is in low-light photography, 1.2 is overkill and, at least in these shots, it would be more pleasing to the eye (and doing justice to the object and the purpose of the picture) to stop down to 5.6-8. The funny thing about those lenses is that they are still sharp wide open, but unless the subject or light demands, you could do as well with a 50 1.8 for 100$.
Nevertheless, I like the bikes and as my master olympic is nearly finished, I am watching this topic closely!

I agree, waaay too much DOF for my tastes. Nice bikes though!

He knows what DOF means. I think he was trying to let you know that you have the concept reversed. :wink:
