This frame with the Campy Hyperon wheels is one of the best looking machines I have ever seen.

Very nice build. I've had mine since 2003, its ruined me.....struggling to find something that rides as well! Tried a few newer carbons, not that great(although the dogma I very briefly rode on was nice).....think I think I'll try steel next.

but when I see these pics; I should not have done this

The guy who brought your C40 must very be happy.

I could never sell a Mapei C40! Anyway life goes on..........

this probably breaks all sorts of rules but I thought I would post it anyway. A 1998 C40 with the older Mapei paint job.

Sorry I could only afford the Chorus Groupset. Someday I will rebuild ........

that is a CRACKING bike! simply marvelous and inspiring. IMO the Mapei and Rabobank colnagos from the '90s are the best probike strips in the business.

i've got an ex Team Navigators C40 that i might be tempted to re-finish in mapei...but mine was ridden in the 2003 worlds roadrace, so i probably will keep it as-is.

here are my bikes: http://majortaylorcycling.org/bikes/walter.html

They sold plenty of them back in the day but, i wonder if it would make you happy buying the same one again..i dont i sold my marcello gos i needed the money and had a new one lined up. The new one never came thru and the guy that bogth my peg offered me to sell the frame for twice the price. I bought colnago ep instead and made me very happy indeed !(;
Different bikes for different times (;
