Hi all,

Stupid question but I am wondering if I can use Sram/FSa BB30 BB kits to install my Cannondale Hollowgram SL crank and spindle or I have to use the original Cannondale parts for my Caad10?

What I have; Left and right crank arms and the 104mm spindle.

From the Cannondaleexpert.com's site, I would need the shim, circlips, bearing shields & wave washer for the installation.

Thinking grabbing one set from lbs rather than waiting.

comparing to these

Thank for answering my question in advance.

BB30 is a technical standard. It should not matter who makes the parts.

So, yes.
There's sometimes a buggy.
How many drivers does a buggy have?

One.

So let's just say I'm drivin' this buggy...

Yes. Bearings, bearing shields, wavy washers and plastic spacers are all standard sizes. It will work.
Do you have the crank bolts and the tiny bolt washers?

I do have the crank bolts and bolt washers. They were bought used, can I still reuse the washers or I need to buy new as well?

Thank you for helping.

So does that mean I could ditch the spacers and wavy washer from my Hollowgram and use the preload spacer from the new Sram Red Exogram crank? I like the idea of being able to set preload using the Sram adjustable spacer.

You can reuse the washers.
No you can not use the SRAM preload adjuster on a hollowgram crank because the threads of that adjuster are on the non drive crank arm/spindle.

In my opinion the adjuster is no good because its sometimes moves, you can easily damage the 1 mm hex screw, and I've seen multiple SRAM cranks were the plastic threads come loose from the spindle.

My original answer was a little brief.

BB30 is really a dimensional standard for the BB area and crank spindle.

The accuracy of the machining, quality of bearings and materials, etc could still vary between manufacturers. And the method of adjustment.

And I suspect, the reason behind we see complaints about some BB30 systems.
