I thought he said that he was "off those silly rings"?

I think we've learned by now that Wiggo is perhaps a little bipolar.

Mechanical again. If the pros don't trust Di2 what hope is there?

Perhaps mechanical because of o-symetric? Is it possible to run a mechanical left shifter/front der with Di2 to the rear?

Mechanical for TTs because of UCI position regulations. Extra inch because they measure mechanical and di2 levers from different points.

He's off them on the road bike. As I said, the Sky riders that used them still use em on the TT bike since they're never really in the small ring in a TT and thus the shifting doesn't matter. They also tend to like them, as Phinney likes q-rings on his tt rig, because they're so far forward that it minimizes the need to pull over the top of the stroke.
Don't take me too seriously. The only person that doesn't hate Froome.

I think he's just playing mind games with everyone, because people make such a fuzz about his gear.

^this

We also saw him in Assos and in s-works shoes. I don't know it by experience, but front der. With no trimming in sram, and Di2 shifting is not so optimal for oval rings, specially with osymmetrics and the new q-rings with the oval shape more exagerated to really make a difference.

Better that people are arguing about what rings he's using than whether he's using a new variant of EPO.

It's gonna be a hell of a race this year, both giro and tour... Vuelta a España could also be good if riders to take part are exciting.
Happy Trails !!!

Haven't the rules been changed recently in this regard?

I think there is a new rule proposed, but not in force yet.
It'll shorten things up :(

IAM not given a Vuelta wildcard.

Bit rough in my opinion. Cofidis selected instead...
