Anyone know of a place I can buy only the red brake blocks used for bleeding avid brakes?

I think that the Avid bleed kits come with all the different Avid blocks. Otherwise just google or bing the appropriate model and the words bleed block. Which red block do you need? I might have it and not need it depending on your model.
For certain parts stiffer is more important than lighter.

I have a bleed kit already. I have misplaced the red blocks. No luck with google search for the blocks only....
I have the Elixer 5S model.

Thanks for any help

Elixir and Jucy are the blocks I need so I can't help. I measured mine and it is exactly 10 mm thick so you can make your own.

Ok that does help. I used a wood shim for installing doors or windows cut down to fit.

Bike shops would throw many of these in the bin daily. They often come with new bikes. Go into the LBS and they'll probably give you one.

They're one and the same thing. Thin end is pad spacer, thick end is bleed block.

The bleed blocks are 10 mm thick so that is all he needs.

Jucy block is totally diff and has a notch on each side to allow for the part of the caliper pucks that snaps into the pads. A lot harder to make. To make matters worse, there are 2 types of Jucy blocks: grey and red. The grey are for fist gen Jucy and the red are for 2nd gen Jucy and they are different thicknesses. Also, Jucy does not have pad spreader end either.
