This is probably an over-simplistic analysis - but last year he only had pure(ish) climbers to beat, whereas this year he's covered on both sides. Barring illness or accident he's not going to outclimb Nibali and he's not going to out TT Wiggo, so I don't see where he can go to make the difference...

He's going to have to win off of consistency; hope that wiggo freaks out and needs a bike change or Nibali cracks.

It's going to be one hell of a race this year I think. I hope Cav takes the sprinters jersey finally so he has a complete set

True. Even most flat stages in the giro end with some good sized lumps. I think there are 3 stages Cav has a shot at.
Wants Cav to get the point Jersey too. But as said, it's never easy in the Giro. Should be an entertaining race fore sure.... Unless Wiggins put some serious minutes to rivals in the TTs...

Sorry, yes, should have said points instead of sprinters.

Agreed.
Cav lost the jersey by one point last year, no?

Very sad indeed. RIP Wouter Dewilde.

Leaves wife and kids behind. It was just a local race, just like so many that me and you take part in. I think its time UCI find a better substitute to road barriers. What are they exactly for? They can be sometimes more dangerous then whatever they are suppose to protect us from. How are some metal bars suppose to keep me safe? Its all a bit primitive if you ask me.

I am sure that is a modified bike. If you want nice kids bikes the Specialized Hotrock in different size are really good quality just to a 12" for my youngest son and its really nice.
What are the best options to watch the Giro in the US if you do not have cable this year?
