Hi all,

Thinking of removing and install the bb30 bearing on my caad10 myself along with the hologram cranks.

Would of these would be the best tool to use?

As for the argument of ceramic or steel, I would prefer the best quality steel bearing from $ pov. What brand/type would you suggest on this 6803 series?

I have the Enduro one and fully recommend it - simple and brilliantly engineered. Piece of cake to use.

I have one similar to this: http://www.enduroforkseals.com/id197.html
You should have proper bearing press too, like this http://www.enduroforkseals.com/id325.html
Those will make your life a lot easier.

VAR do a press that installs BB30 bearings as well as removes, if you like sexy French tools rather than American stuff.

Thank you for the help.

Does your combination offer better bang for the buck or alternative purpose?

As http://www.enduroforkseals.com/id195.html does both remove and press.

Thank you for helping.

I see the Var tool is about $170. Does it only do Bb30 or can it deal with PF30 as well?

Any other purpose for these three bearing tools? Can anyone of them be used to deal w/ wheel bearing so I can spent my $ wisely?

I believe the VAR BB30 press only does BB30. As said before, it removes as well as installs. Not sure if it does PF30. However, the other VAR press does do press fit, both all types of Campag press fit and also Shimano press fit.

I am not aware of the existence of any single tool that will press everything there is on the market.

Cyclus Snap.In has adapters for press fit.

The important thing is to try not to make the BB30 creak.
