Light Weight Seatpost Shim and Seatpost Clamp ?
Moderator: Moderator Team
Hi guys.
I am after a 31.6mm - 34.9mm seatpost shim for a carbon frame and seatpost, can anyone point me in the right direction for a light weight one ?
Also I need a seat post clamp which will fit, the clamp on the bike says 38.3mm, again it has to be able to work ok with carbon.
Thanks

Extralite ultraclamp is a wise choise.

Extralite got a 21g shim for that use. Thought about one myself before I decided for a KCNC Ti-Pro lite seatpost instead.

I have got a Scott bike with a carbon frame and have just read in the instructions that it will void my warranty if I use a shim, so I'll have to stick with what I have for now.
Thanks anyway
My kcnc 34.9 mm just arrived today for my scott scale, I suggest get the kcnc seatpost than using the extralite shim (using shims voids your warranty.) Unless you wanna shell out for those ultra expensive mcfk post or ax lightness, cheapest lightweight post available for the scott bikes are kcnc is guess. Got my kcnc post from the boys at r2-bike.
