Here is my custom painted Nightmare Before Christmas themed Trek "Fisher" Superfly. It may not be "weight weenie" but it definitely is one of a kind.

Lovely paintjob! A Tim burton fan I guess...
BTW I would remove any decals from seatpost, crankset etc.

I am quite the Tim Burton fan
I'd love to remove any other logos but my whole cockpit and crank are RaceFace Dues and they are painted on
Will have the bike built up by the end of the weekend
Awesome frame! I just ordered a Superfly frame, so I guess we'll be building both of ours up at the same time. I'd love to compare notes/weights with you. What size frame do you have?

Nice! Did you do this yourself?
PS. Does anyone know a good painter in EU? I know only http://www.etoe.de, but prices are too damn high.

FIJIGabe
It is a medium frame. I had the bike built up previously, I stripped it down and upgraded some parts, the frame was also repaired last summer. It'll probably be pretty average weight when it's complete. I don't race very heavily on the mountain so everything on the bike is built to take a beating on all of the NEPA trails. I'm running a Fox RL29 fork, Stans Z355 wheels (laced to ZTR hubs) with Kenda Nevegals (converting to tubeless at some point, I ride some knarly sharp rock gardens weekly and these have been the only tires to last), the drivetrain is SRAM x9, 9 speed, with a RaceFace Dues crankset, Avid Juicy 5 hydro brakes, RaceFace Dues bar/stem, RaceFace Next carbon seatpost, Fizik Aliante k;ium saddle, and Shimano XT pedals
emike
I didn't paint the bike myself, I had a local airbrusher do it, he's done a bunch of ATV's, motorcycles, golf carts, lawn mowers and all of that, charged me next to nothing to do it and did a real cool job on it. I'm planning on having him do my CAAD5 Track bike with a custom Liquigas color scheme with some flames transitioning from color to color within the next few months.

looks like a nice buildup. I was planning on building my Cobia up, but found a deal on the Superfly, so I went for it. Are you running a G2 fork, or did you go to a standard fork geometry?

Ahh this is soo badass!! Really nice artwork!
Would you mind PMing me the name/website of the guy who did this? I have a frame that I'm looking to paint as well.
Thanks for sharing!

For anyone interested in my painter (Frank Bigler) this is his site. It's nothing flashy, but his work is pretty cool. He's extremely reasonable compared to some place like Chelsea Bikes and will do completely custom work for much less than a shop like Chelsea would charge for a single color. His turn around time is fast as well.

Just a very big fan of the film as well as Tim Burton and Henry Selick, I was quite young when the film came out
