Anyone got experience of Vukasprint vs Bontrager XXX Aero

http://www.zipp.com/bars/vukasprint/

http://bontrager.com/model/11289

Or any alternative suggestions at similar weight - full internal cable routing (for SRAM Red not electronic) is mandatory

Yeah the question is which one and why.

I already bought the alloy version of the Bontrager but now I think I'll be able to find the money for the carbon (and the bike frankly deserves a carbon bar), so the alloy will go on the flea

I've been using the Kuota Katch-01 for some time, and like it a lot for its compact shape and the nice transition from the hoods to the bar: http://kuota.it/component.php?IDComponente=29 .

If you have the alloy version of the Bonty one and you like it, go for that one. There won't be any particular difference between the two except for specific shape and graphics, so you might as well go with the one that you know is comfortable for you.

It's still in the box so hard to say if it's comfortable or not...

I do know I want the shortest reach version - the Bonty is 85mm, but not sure about the Zipp

I doubt anyone has tried both, and the most important thing about choosing bars is its fit for your bike. Look at the reach and drop and see which one you like. I used the 3T ergonova before the vuka sprint now and prefer the latter for the longer reach.

Both of the bars you listed have internal cable routing, weight doesn't differ significantly, and no one can possibly do a watt savings comparison, so just look at fit.

I know Bonty has a 30-day "trial" period for certain items, where an authorized Trek dealer will take back a used item within 30 days if you aren't happy with it for any reason (keep your receipt). I'm not sure if that applies to handlebars, but it might be worth it to find out.

I just mounted the Vukasprint with campagnolo levers and I'm very happy with the outcome. Anything specific you are interested in hearing about them?

Reach - short or long?
Comfort of the flats (rear edge looks quite "sharp"?)
Stiffness / road feel.
Ease of internal cabling and tidiness of cabling from "output" ports into bike frame

thanks

Reach - Short or Long depends on your fit!

Comfort - much wider than the 3T Ergonovas I had but I can't say it's very uncomfortable even if my thumb has to go over the rear edge. Don't spend too much time on the top bars anyway.

Stiffness - Better than 3T Ergonova Ltd

Ease of cabling - my mechanic did that, I didn't ask...

Hi
I have about a 800 miles on the Zipps they are not uncomfortable for me but they do not take any road vibration away like FSA wing bars.
I installed Di2 in my bars it went easier than installing cables in FSA wing bars.
Do I think they make you faster no way but on a Cervelo S5 it looks fast.

I've got vukasprints. The cable routing was kind of a pain, but that was with i-links, I'd imagine standard cable housings would be a breeze. It is pretty tidy, cables come out right where they need to, to get into the frame cleanly. The comfort is fine, I don't really rest my hands on the flats a whole lot, but when I do it's palm down on the tops, fingers rolled over the front, so I don't really feel the back edge, and it isn't really sharp anyway. They are stiff, I feel like there's still a bit of vibration damping though.

Final FYI, don't clip your knee on them in a sprint!
