Pace RC31 leg diam
Moderator: Moderator Team
Does anyone know the O.D. of the legs on the Pace RC31? Has anyone used the bolt on canti studs for that? I am curious if there is any problems with slippage under hard braking.

I run disk brakes on my Pace RC-31s
Cant comment on V-brakes
Although, there appears to be a sticker covering a small 1mm hole aboput where you would put the v-brake canti studs. Could this be to stop slippage.
Pace have a reputation for well engineering components. I wouldn't think they would slip. I will measure the diameter today and post the findings.

I ran the V set-up. No issues at all. Put about 4000 miles on that fork last year.

Tippster, did you get a chance to measure those fork legs?
What have you got up your sleeve Nicrump?

nikh, I think you know. I have given up on carbon disk in lieu of a sub 6lb rigid fork. I want to match the pace leg so I can use their canti studs. How does that sound? If one runs disk, it would be full carbon. No metal whatsoever. Can you confirm your pace leg diam?
112 mm? Diam? thats over 4"
112 mm is probably circumference ( I think i spelled that wrong)

Isn't that a little on the heavy side

I sold mine
I think 4" circum is about right from memory.

I now have a nice steel rigid fork from Surly.
It's a little bit heavier than 600g though!

why did you get rid of the pace? did you not like the ride?
The ride was harsh compared to the Surly it was beating me up tbh.
For me it was a race only fork, if I raced!
