It's a mates bike that he just got built up at our LBS. he obviously used some older parts that he had laying around I.e cranks.

Interesting, I never knew they made carbon DA cranks. I guess they just never made proper production runs. Though it does look like there are other vendors with carbon cranks with the same shape.
sigi, they did do production runs, but just not for very long. It was announced before Di2 then delayed a bit and released after Di2 but didn't have the large hollow forged rings which meant they did work with Di2 but not as ideally as the "lower" end alloy DA crank. Because of this Shimano decided to release a limited run, I think it was a just a couple thousand sets worldwide. They were really nice though not really any lighter than the alloy counter part.
