i ride to work and back most days on my own, so i never train with anyone else - is the training courses option on the Garmin Edge 500 where you race against a rider on screen that shows your PB for that course any good or not - does it work on screen and does it motivate you??

Thanks

Rhys.

Its a bit lame, the training partner on a micro sized screen thing.

Better to know where strava segments are (or create your own to suit where you ride) & track your progress against those - imo.

No garmin necessary.

The 800 and 810 have the option of seeing your prior route and you can race against that.
