Hi all,

I tried to find the stock weight of a CAAD10 size 54 with ultegra, but I cannot seem to find this information when using google. So I though that some of you might knew or had better google skills.

A very much hope you will respond

Regards Lars, Denmark

The first hit on the Google search I linked had the following for a white frame:

CAAD10 Frame 54cm = 1248 (Cage Bolts, RD Hanger, Seatpost Clamp, Guide)
CAAD10 Fork = 406
CAAD10 Bearings = 48
CAAD10 FSA Compression = 48
CAAD10 Other Parts = 42

Thanks all, but I see that no one actually knows the total weight of the CAAD10 2013 s54 with ultegra, so I guess I just have to buy it and tell you ;)

Yes, let us know.

Without pedals I'm guessing 8kg or thereabouts.

I see C+ have a Liquigas 56m 105 without pedals at 8.3kg

Not light. Though with a WW BB30 chainset and some light tubular rims, you can get <6.8kg easily.

My 56cm Ultegra with stock wheels (Conti GpP4000s tyres), 105 pedals, 2 carbon bottle cages comes in right at 19 pounds. Right at 17 with Planet-X 50mm tubulars (Conti GP4000) and Ultegra Carbon pedals.

In my view, asking for whole bike masses is always subject to too many sources of variability. Swap the tires, swap the tubes, swap the bar tape, add or remove bottle cages, change the saddle: these could be hundreds of grams one way or another.

Yes, it was also just to make some kind of prediction what a realistic weight saving program could be when having a tight student budget.

Unfortunately, im living in a country, where tubulars is not an good idea, since punctures is part of everyday life here.
Originally I hoped for a sub7kg, but i see it might be unrealistic.

On my list when it comes is
* Speedplay - whatever model that fits my wallet
* Replacing Cannondale stock seatpost, stem and drop to 3T team series, arx, ergonova and doric
* Another saddle - probably fizik arione or SLR

I dont really dare to save weight on tires, and wheel replacement seems to be too expensive.

Well, the obvious tyres and tubes etc. could be changed without compromising puncture resistance much/at all.

Actually a SRAM Red Exogram BB30 chainset would be a decently cost-effective
way to lose weight vs. stock.

Then I'd save for wheels. If weight is the priority and they have to be clinchers then a build around some Stans rims at 1300g odd will save a lot of weight.

usual suspects would be relatively cheap and drop good few hundred grams, px brakes, supersonic tubes, uno kalloy stem, cables, tape, ti bolts, skewers....

I'm sitting next to my brand new 2015 CAAD10 ultegra - black. I have a pair of Shimano 105 pedals and two blackburn cages, and an empty back pouch and it just weighed 17.11 pounds at the shop.

That sounds right. The 2014 I just built up with Ultegra, krysium SLEs, C1 bars and an FSA SLK post was 17 on the nose. But not for long...
