Hi everyone,
Having recently built up my first bike, based on a Chinese velobuild FM066-SL frame, I thought I would join the board and post it up:
The build list:
FM066-SL frame - 923g (with derailleur hanger)
SRAM Red w/o crank, w/ cables & BB30 - 1320g?
Chinese fork - 355g
Chinese seat post - 160g (without hardware)
Fizik Antares saddle - 198g
Enve 25 - 1098g (without tires and skewers)
Quarq w/ SRAM S975 crank - 771g
3T Arx Pro stem - 136g
3T Rotundo Pro bar - 232g
Chinese bottle cages + bolts - 65g
Neco headset - 79g
Lizzard Skin 1.8mm bar tape - ???
Schwalbe Ultremo extralight tubulars - ???
The frame appears to be pretty light, my 5 year old daughter can lift it up:
But I don't have a fishing scale, so I'm wondering if you can guess the final weight of the bike! I'll have a scale by Sunday and I'll report the final weight then

Great work! Chinese velobuild FM066-SL frame looks attractive and light weighted. The shape of the cycle in black color attracting to use it personally. 58cm height and 6.254 is really attractive for young and the old people.

6.5 is where I would put my money....
2011 Tarmac Pro SL3 Project Black (gone but not forgotten)
2012 Parlee Z5 SLi (just because)
2014 Colnago C59 (why not)

The weigh-in just happened, and the verdict of the scale is: 6.30kg!
On the one hand I am a little disappointed, because I was hoping to get under 6kg, and thought it was possible with the parts I had, but I guess I had forgotten to count the weight of my pedals (Look Keo Classic), and I thought my tires wouldn't weigh as much. On the other hand, I have a nice goal to achieve now

Thanks!
I think it would look even better with a zero offset seatpost, so I can put my saddle a little more forward without pushing it all the way. Any suggestions on a good looking one? Looking for a 27.2mm that's mostly black. So far looking at the Fizik Cyrano and Zipp Service Course SL beyond black edition.

Great looking bike!
Quick question: is this the matte UD finish or did you have the frame painted matte black? I'm looking into getting an FM066 and I happen to also be putting a Quarq S975 on it, and yours appear to match up really nicely with one another.

Easton EC90 SL - UD finish, minimal graphics, comes in 27.2 and is decent weight
