"PRO" Cycling Discussion

If I was a pro, just like any other pro does, I would never ever complain about my equipment (that i would get for free) and about the sponsor who is paying me.
If I was a pro, just like any other pro does, the bikes I would personally purchase, would be of decent brands, not the "crap" they pay me to ride. That is why Lance have a Crumptom, Evans has a Baum, and Wiggo uses Assos apparel for training (Evans too).
So yes, no pro would ever complain about Trek, Specialized or Canyon, or Pinarello. And yes, they know it's not the best, but hey, they pay you. And yes, it would make no diference in performance using a Crumpton or a Trek. And yes, in spite of this, Trek is shit. Why? Cause what it represents it's crap in my opinion. Their image, their ways, their innovations to market are nothing. It's in the opposite side or Cervelo, Klein, Cumptom, Parlee. Taht is why. Sorry to bring back this topic everyone is supposed to be aware of.

Maybe its because of less doping (or better doping by minor teams) I have no idea, but its really interesting to see.
I agree there... Such a pity that Evans is now older and Sastre is retired... their palmares would be really different if they were 5 years younger.

Wiggo is on a mission to try something different in Catalunya.
Forced an attack on the downhill on Monday, and attacked in the last km of a 12k, 8% climb today, totally shredding the front group.
It was also super impressive that after Quintana, J-Rod and Piti took off in the last 500m, he managed to pull back 2 of them in the last few metres before the line.

Yeah, I noticed. Not exactly racing by numbers, and presumably working on going in the red.
I suddenly came to think of Marco Pantani...

Maybe he's been reading WW and was motivated to prove that damn 'prendrefeu' guy that he can attack instead of playing the part of a metronome.
But, I jest.
Good to see another side of him.

Dwars must have been a tough race, pretty much 2/3 DNFed. Hope Jack Bauer recovers well too.
