saddle mounted mudguard
Moderator: robbosmans
Watching Milan san Remo I'm sure I saw maybe a Bianch rider with a small mudguard fitted directly to the back of his saddle? It seems like a really good idea but I can't find any info on it. Thinking about it you could make one that fits the Fizik ICS system and it would be quick and easy to fit and remove. Anybody got any more info, thoughts?

Ass-savers.com ...Fits between the rails. I sometimes use one, doesn't hold it's shape very well but seems to take the worst grime out of your ass... it's no substitute for real fenders though.

Like most rail mounted products. Us SMP users need not apply. Sad really, they look great. I have an old rat tail that that I cut down to fit into the Velcro on my saddle bag. Similar idea. I like the ass savers simply due to it functioning without a saddle bag. But, as mentioned, it doesn't look like it would fit an SMP saddle.

I had one last year. Think I might have cut the tip too short to fit under my slr because the fender just kept falling to the left from the vibration.

You can download an ass-savers template, slightly modify it and cut your own from a sheet of plastic.
Whow! That's a pretty damn nice garage door!
