Hongfu FM-066/Chinese open mould frame thread
Moderator: robbosmans
I used regular Shimano cable and housing. Pretty sure that's 4mm for the housing. I know the cable is 1.2mm.

I used Jagwire for Sram and it s standard fit perfectly.
Ordered mine, on the way to Europe. Excellent service from HongFu so far.

Got one of these in the middle of February to satisfy a lingering curiosity about open mold bikes. Myself and 3 other buddies ordered them directly from Figmo/Edge, as my brother does other business with them outside of frames. Initially I was very upset with the wait time and the seemingly endless delays. I had a pile of parts and wanted to put them on something, not just look at them.
After 3 1/2 months and multiple customs headaches we finally got them. I opened my 58 waiting to pick it apart for quality etc, but was actually very surprised by the finish quality. Now, admittedly, all weren't like this. My 58 and a 52 were much better finished (as good as any big brand bike i've owned), but the two 56's were less than perfect with one being sub-par (all the cable area's needed additional dremeling and finish work, along with a missing RD frame outlet guide).
Anyhow, my 58, without hanger came in right at 921g (very light compared to other 58 066's ive seen). I did all the customs leg work so I got to weigh all the forks and choose the lightest. For whatever reason I cant remember the uncut weight (it was 9g lighter than the others with were all within a few G's of each other) but cut it was/is 325g.
Build list is as follows:
-SRAM Exogram crank (175 compact)
-SRAM Red Yaw FD
-2012 Red shifters and RD
-SRAM XG 11-28 cassette
-Ciamillo GSL's (Black Prince pads......fantastic, btw)
-Zipp SL Carbon bars
-Zipp Service Course Beyond Black stem (110)
-Speedplay Zero chromo
-KMC X10SL chain
-Zipp 202 tublulars with Conti Competition (or 404's with Sprinters)
-Selle Italia SLR
-seat post is a carbon offering from Edge/Figmo that differs from the one normally offered from other distributors of the 066
-LizardSkins tape
-UD carbon 18g cages from Edge/Figmo
Fit was identical to my SuperSix since, well, the geometry is identical.
The SS is slightly stiffer feeling in the BB area with the 066 being more compliant. Overall, after roughly 500 miles, the bike is fantastic. Descends well, handles confidently and climbs very very well, IMO.
Comes in at 13lbs 11oz with pedals, cages and computer (ready to ride) with 202's and 14lbs 4oz with 404 tubulars and slightly heavier Sprinters.
(with 404's and "winter lights")
(am I not posting pics correctly?)

HAHA... no... wow that was lost in translation.
I meant that the thread you started might be better off adding to a thread that already exists on this subject:

@prend LOL..
@masta just curious, how is 940g at size 54cm much lighter than R3? a 2008 R3 54cm in white paint scheme weighs in at 912g.
