Fourth guy back in the bunch looks like he's about to deck it - maybe that helped? Still, solo win!

Managed to hold on for the win in our club's Crit Championships. Even with my 'aero' sprinting position...  had 0.021s to spare - plenty of time

Did come at the end of 2 man break for final third of the race - love a good break away

Oh so that's what the finish looked like. I was too busy groveling back in the bunch half a lap behind you! :)

temperature was oke, 3 to 4°c, but lots of cold seawater made it hard. I (and 3/4th of the competitors) use schwalbe supermoto's on my 29'er!

My first race today. I rode like a total pillock and attacked over and over again, as well as dragging along the field a lot of the way round. The nerves really get to me and any tactics or plan just seem to go out the window. I am not the cool, calm, collected type. I cooked myself and just sat up while everyone sprinted past me.

Still, I had great fun despite it being extremely cold and windy. Here are a few photos of me off the front:

It's at Castle Combe - really nice venue actually, but the wind can be brutal on such an open circuit.
