So far as I can gather, Easton publish their bar measurements c-c at the end of the drops. Can anyone enlighten me as to exactly how much they narrow c-c where the levers mount?

My 46 cm bars measure about 44.5 cm C-C at the top, so they flare out slightly.

The width difference for each size is progressive and slightly different, e.g. 46cm bars measure 46 at the hooks and 44.5 at the hoods, 44cm bars measure 44 at the hooks and about 42.25 at the hoods (all measured c-to-c)....and so on.

These are great bars and provide one of the best flat transitions to the hoods.

Great. Thanks. Seems like it must be a very similar flare to the one on a set of FSA bars I have.

The flare on the FSA bars is a bit more visually pronounced because of the "compact" shape of the bend (half moon/crescent), where as the Easton has a rounder profile bend which makes the flare harder to notice...sort of an optical illusion.

I'm thinking about the ergo shaped Eastons, rather than the curved bend. Do they have the same flare?

Quick update so this thread is useful for search, and a further question:

I bought an EA50 ergo bar to try, and it measures 42cm at the ends of the drops, and 40cm at the hoods. Which feels just about perfect for me.

Does anyone know if the carbon versions, the EC70 & EC90 ergo have exactly the same shape as the alloy ones?
